Celestron's CGEM DX 1400 features Celestron's high-end 14" Schmidt Cassegrain OTA with XLT coatings mounted on their brand new CGEM DX mount. The newest member of Celestron's fully computerized Equatorial mount series, the CGEM DX mount is capable of carrying Celestron's high-end 11" and 14" optical tubes. Ideal for both imaging and visual observation, the CGE Pro style 2.75" leg tripod holds 14" optics securely while dampening vibration. You will instantly be able to point to any of the celestial objects in the database since it is capable of holding 50 pounds of payload and has a slewing at 5 degrees per second.

Ergonomic Design- With large Altitude and Azimuth adjustment knobs for quick and easy polar alignment adjustment, the CGEM DX was designed to be ergonomically friendly. Providing a clean look and easy and trouble free set up is made possible with the internal RA and DEC motor wiring.

Innovation- The new innovative Polar alignment procedure on the CGEM DX series is called All-Star. All-Star enables users to choose any bright star, while the software calculates and assists with polar alignment. The CGEM DX is sure to please astroimagers with the Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PEC) feature. This enables users to train out the worm gears periodic errors while the mount retians the PEC recordings.

Performance- For objects near the Meridian (imaginary line passing from North to South), the CGEM DX will track well past the Meridian for uninterrupted imaging through the most ideal part of the sky. With over 40,000 objects, 100 user defined programmable objects and enhanced information on over 200 objects, the CGEM mount features a robust database.

Power Management- Delivering constant regulated power to the motors making them capable of driving the telescope even when not perfectly balanced, are the redesigned electronics on the CGEM DX. This enables
